Watching DVD's
How can i watch a DVD while im driving. it works when im in the parked but as soon as i change the gear the screen goes off and i cant watch while driving

You can't. It's a safety feature built in by Lexus. You can hack around it by snipping some wires, but that'll void your warranty on a $4,000+ piece of equipment in your car.

There is a way, but it's your responsibility to use it safely and legally.
You're from California, and it's illegal in the state to have a DVD player in front of the driver's shoulders.

I'd be curious to know of all those that have performed the hack how often do you watch DVD's while in motion after the novelty wore off?

I have mine hacked and I normally have music video DVDs in my car. I hardly watch any movies in my car.

I never watch it myself. I turn it on if I have passengers only.
The novelty never wears off for my passengers...

Yes you need ML with Nav in order to watch DVDs.

Not even if I hack the system? I have an 06 with navi and the version I have is hackable.

The non-ML doesn't have a DVD player, so hacking it won't make it play DVDs.
