Default question about playing dvds-----

guys, I've had my IS350 10 weeks today. I have not and don't plan on performing the nav hack that some of you have. I have a question however. I have some dvd's that I would like to listen to the audio of and not play the video part of the dvd while driving. Is this possible? I think the DVD player recognizes that it's a dvd and once you put the car into 'drive' it's not gonna play. Any answers please.

if the DVD is compatible, it will play. To be sure, set the parking brake and play the DVD before start driving. I have play music DVD on mine and it works everytime (if compatible). Hope this help.

I believe he's referring to listening to a DVD movie play w/no video while driving... Like if he's already seen the movie a bunch but it's just funny to listen to or something.

It will play the audio. Just stick it in. No problem.
