Default AUX input sounds horrible

I had my is250 for a month now, I finally decided to try the aux input in the arm rest, I hooked up my ipod, and the volume is all the way up, but the audio feed sounds like garbage. The sound seems like its unbalanced through the speakers, as if its just playing from one, the driver side.Does anyone else have this problem? is there a setting I can play with? I tried the differnt positioning feeds, like pos all, pos rear, pos front/driver which seems like there is not a differnence.

you need a connector from ipod dock to mini jack. Besides, ipods sound bad to begin with.

it should be a 3.5mm same size as headphones. but you should def get audio out from the dock since its constant and non variable like out of the audio jack. granted the best sound your going to get is still cd quality

Check your ipod settings, maybe you have EQ on.

try the ground loop isolator, may clean up the noise more, but understand that whatever you do, the volume will never be as high or as clear as CD

Try turning the EQ off (or set it to none), this improved the sound output a lot! thanks Hartawan

I use a radio shack 1/8" mini male plug to a 1/8" mini male plug and it works great. The iPod sounds great when you burn at 192khz.

Dude Try 2 Things, on your i-Pod

1- Go To Settings and check the volume limit, put up all the way.

2 Go To Settings, turn OFF the Sound Check.

This will let the sound be higher.

You need the Sik Ram Din, it's so simple, this is really all you need. I bought this and I swear my iPod sounds almost as good as CD's. Remember for the iPod you will always get a clearer better sound using the dock (bottom) line out instead of the headphone jack (top)

If you get it at Amazon, it comes right from the people that make it SIK. (I got black cause my interior is black) I love this cable it sounds incredible in the IS.

Here in white

If you don't want to order from Amazon, get it from the SIK here
but it;s the same place Amazon gets it anyway

The square (small rectangle connector you dont' use)
Best $20 bucks I spent (can I count this as a mod?)
