sometimes i think the navi is just a little too bright and distracting at night and it looks ugly if you dim it too much... i saw this picture in the galleries of the inverted color navi and was just wondering if anyone knew how to do this.... my Pioneer Avic N1 in my other car does the same thing when you turn on the headlights...

there's a **** on the left of your steering wheel, turn it to the left and that activates "night mode", it'll make the background of the nav black at night. It's in the manual

when you just switch to night mode, the gauge brightness is about the same. adjust the brightness all the way up so long as you're nav isn't in day mode.

Only at night? So it's automatic like the low beams on "auto?"
its because ur switch isnt all the way to the right past the click.. if u go past the click, then it forces day-mode all the time.. if you dont go past the click, then its on day mode when its daytime and switched to night mode when its night.
