Default First Ticket in IS

Got my first ticket last night - 52 in a 35. How many tickets have others gotten? - -Especially the 350 owners.

So far 1 for me. *knock on wood*

Got caught doing 103 but the cop wrote 97 instead so that I could at least go to traffic school.

I got mine a couple of days ago....

BUT, the way I got it was funny as hell....

I was hauling behind a *Stealth* cop and didn't recognize his car because even his licence plate was normal. So, he is in the fast lane and I'm right behind his a** so, I decide to pull my car all the way over to the slow lane in traffic at 80+mph... Next thing I know the cop got right behind me and pulled me over. His first words were..."Didn't you see my blue lights??" My reply: "Apparently NOT!"..... Handed me a ticket for freakin $170+....

Are people really getting more tickets in ISes versus other cars? Most cars can go 80-100 mph, don't really need an IS to get a ticket.

It's really not about the car but rather the moron driving.

You know, I think your right about just about any car on the road today can get to 80+....so as I just said "it must be the driver"

Not exactly sure where this person lives but out here in So. California running 80 will 'just' keep you up with traffic.......your not likely to pass anyone at that speed.

Umm..... first of all, if yall saying I'm a moron then that's just stupid. Coz, like I said, the cop car was like any other car on the road and you couldn't distinguish. And on top of that, I was running 20mins late for work...

And, I'm in KY so, if you go 70mph in 65mph zone.... you'll get caught.

I don't think anyone is calling you a moron. The IS is nowhere near the fastest car on the road, but some people get a new car and drive like jerks for some reason.

I got a speeding ticket a day after I bought my IS but that was just because I was testing the car. Now I try to stay close to the speed limit. The problem though is the fact that just a little tap of the gas pedal gets me 15 MPH over the limit. Many times I catch myself speeding and have to slow down.

I bought my car on April 5th. I got my windows tinted on April 18th. I received a ticket for the tints on the 19th for $60. The beginning of May I received a parking ticket of $165 for blocking the pedestrian ramp. May 25th I received SIX tickets at the same time for
1. Speeding... going 90 on a 55 limit (8 points)
2. Changing lanes w/o signal 4x (12 points total)
3. Tinted windows
Lawyer fee: $3000

This car is giving me really bad luck or is it just me? I've been driving for 7 years and this never happened to me before. Blah

How can you blame any of that on the car?

With 14% tint 'all around' and red outs you are asking for trouble. You can't afford any more goof ups. Pull that illegal tint off the windows, and slow down.

Red outs aren't illegal. In the U.S. red or yellow turn signals are legal. I hear some states are worse than others in enforcing tint rules. How do they even measure whether tint is illegal or not?
