I have a brand new 2007 Is250 and I cant play dvds at all. When inserting a dvd to the player I wont get any picture. It just plays the title music but I without picture. The manual says that it should start automatically and give me a new screen with different dvd options but I am stuck with the audio menu. I also canīt press the "picture" option on the screen. Any ideas?

 

You need to have ML first.

If you do, you need to have the car in park, AND have the parking foot brake set.

Huh... take it to the dealer man.... Unless... wait... are you trying to play a burned DVD?

 

No it is a regular dvd region 2. I think taking it to the dealer is the next step

 

Sounds like you need to set your parking brake.
Your PICTURE option is non-functional until you do.

 

if you have ML, make sure your parking brake is on. Also, I'm not sure if region 2 can be played in the states without the right dvd player.

 

Not sure the specs are different on Euro models, but do you have the Mark Levinson logo on the bottom right of the head unit? (Just to verify). If you do, try again with a different DVD. If that doesn't work take it back to the dealer.
