Default PLEASE HELP - DVD's won't play???

I have a brand new IS350 with the Mark Levinson Navi system. When I insert a DVD, it registers it as a DVD and then begins to play the Audio from the disc. Problem is that I can not get a picture. It just stays on the standard screen when you press the Audio button. I have read ever page in the manual regarding DVD play and it talks about a screen Called DVD Hint, but I don't get that screen.

Can anyone HELP

Do you have the emergency brake on? The car has to be in park with the brake on, or you'll just get the sound portion.

I had the car off and in park, but no E- brake. Are you sure you need that? When I read the Hack for using the DVD player while driving it did not mention the E-brake.

Thanks for the input - I will go try your suggestion now and post the result.

IT WORKED! I would not have guessed you need the E-Brake on. Car in Park makes sense, but not the E-Brake.

Quality was awesome - my kids will love it. I will definately have to do trhe DVD Hack that is posted here. Thanks for the suggestion.

to get the DVD to work you have to ground the E-brake wire running to the NAV unit

Glad you got your DVD to work!

Mind telling me how long you had to wait to get your car? I keep getting told that any IS350 with the ML audio is a special order, and I will have to wait 90-120 days for mine. Needless to say, I hope the wait is actually much shorter.

I waited 8 weeks. After the first 4 1/2 weeks, the car arrived and they orderd the wrong car. It had no Sport or ML. Obviously I was pissed. They corrected the issue 3 1/2 weeks later with a Tungsten Silver Sport IS350 with ML and NAV. Awesome car - worth the wait.

Good Luck on yours.

Thanks for that info! Sorry you had the unexpected additional delay, but your story gives me a ray of hope. 4 1/2-8 weeks sounds better than 3-4 months. I have ordered a Black Onyx/black interior IS350 Sport with ML and Nav. I know it will be worth it when it gets here, but waiting is agony.

LANGDELL - FYI

My dealer, Scottsdale Lexus, in Arizona has a SICK Black on Black IS350 Sport with NAV and ML. In addition, it has a kick *** set of 19" MOMO rims with larger Pirelli tires. Also has the entire Lexus factory ground effects kit installed and they did a great job. All windows are tinted also.

AWESOME car if you want black. Sticker was about $43,000 + $10,000 for add ons. If you want this car, call Tracy Mooreman. He is the General manager and tell him Brad Osborn sent you.

Good Luck!!!!
