So the Lexus IS has Bluetooth, for the phone thing...

there is a Samsung Mp3 player which does have bluetooth, does it work with the IS by bluetooth?

most likely you can get them to sync. But you will only get 1 speaker to output sound, as the bluetooth handsfree use's your low end driver side speaker for sound output.

caifan, what kind of cable you use to connect your SLVR to aux in? I have a SLVR also but the headphone output is not a regular mini jack.

Why do you say that? I'd be surprised if they sync; an mp3 player is likely to use the BT headset profile, while the Lexus IS supports the BT handsfree profile.

Unfortunately, the bluetooth in the Lexus is only for handsfree and phonebook transfer, not bluetooth streaming.

You need the A2DP profile to support bluetooth streaming.

+1 and the Lexus doesn't support the A2DP profile. I don't believe any OEM HU's support the A2DP profile, but there are a few aftermarket HU's that do (Sony, Alpine, Kenwood, etc).

Hopefully that will change as Ford may be setting the bar a little higher this fall.
