Dash/Console dimming problem
I did a quick search and couldn't find anything...
Sometimes my dash and all the console buttons will just dim themselves to a very low setting. I'll have to turn the lighting **** till it clicks over to the highest setting and readjust it and it will happen again 5-10mins later, this problem will come and go.. but some days nothing ever happends.
I set the lighting level on my dash pretty low already.. halfway at the most.. just enough to read the dash.
I notice this more when i was driving home from work around 6pm when it starting to get dark and the dash just went super dim..but i never noticed it in the day.. maybe because it just isn't that noticable in the day.
anyone have the same problem?
I'm gonna try to take it the dealer this week though

I wish I had some advice for you or just tell you click this button and it problem solved ... sorry. If I had this problem it would seriously bug me. But your thread must only be for the IS 250 crowd.

Sounds like it is just changing to night mode from day mode. Think I remember someone posting that theirs did it when passing through shade in the daytime. There is a sensitivity setting to determine how dark it must be to activate it. Dealer-only setting. Maybe yours got set too sensitive, somehow, at the factory. If I'm right, you can get the dealer to make it less sensitive, or you can turn the **** past the click and live with it always bright, or leave it alone. To make it more obvious when it happens, turn the **** to just prior to the click, making the day mode very bright.
p.s. Make sure you don't have something covering the sensor on the right top part of the dash (like a radar detector, etc.).

ohh... i didn't realize there was a Night and Day mode... I don't have anything on top of my dash.. but i'll have to keep tabs on it for if it happens when i go under an overpass or on dark cloudy areas
