Question Dash rattling on long trips?

My car just hit 1200 miles and I've taken two trips that were over a few hours each. On the first trip, I noticed a rattling noise coming from somewhere in the dash, possibly the lower passenger side. The second trip was longer, a little over two hours... the rattling started about an hour into the trip. At first I thought it was related to the A/C Recirculate function because it seemed to stop when I turned off Recirculate. Now it does it in both modes and only when moving. Anyway, it's going to be hard to replicate for the dealership b/c it doesn't do it unless you drive for an hour or more.

Ideas anyone?

thankz

Just take it back to the dealer and tell them your dash rattles. I took mine a few weeks ago and they changed some clips in the dash.

I'm having a similar problem with my 2009 IS 350, though it doesn't take as long for the rattle to start. Unfortunately, it's intermittent, and it didn't happen when I took the car to the dealer this past weekend. They said there was nothing they could do without replicating the problem.

It's a light crinkling-like sound that seems to be coming from the glove box or the glove box door. I've tried emptying the glove box and checking that the tray in the glove box and the air filter cover are secure. That doesn't seem to help.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I have 08 that i bought 2 months ago and it has 4000miles on it.
The dash rattles a lot when the weather is hot....but once i turn on the A/C and the car temp goes down, it doesn't rattle.

Center console where I rest my right knee, also has loud rattle noise.

I took it to dealer and they just put some cloth in the center console area to reduce the noise and they said that the car's dash rattles little bit and that is normal. -_-

I really disappointed rattle issue on LEXUS. I hate cars that rattles. Thats why I bought Lexus because it has one of the finest fit and finish car.

I recently notice noise on the center console again!!!! so I just put small folded papers between plastic parts and now its gone.

Call Lexus USA customer service and tell them the dealer name and that they said dash rattles "are normal". You'll get a call back within a couple of hours from the dealer...

For the glove box rattle... there is a small black panel in the back of the glove box that covers the cabin/micro filter. This panel is made to be removed if you slide it up- I haven't taken it out though. Although the panel seems to be in place correctly, if you push on it slightly, you can feel a point of contact on the left side. I had someone ride with me and press on it... the rattle went away. This isnt what I hear on the long trips though, that sound is similar to a crinkling or baby rattle noise. I traded my 07 Acura because of the creaks and rattles... I hope I didn't make the wrong choice.

Mine does the same thing but I only seem to notice it on old rough roads. Same exact area too. Over near the glove box sounds like some kinda plastic rattle.
