Hi guys..

I just got my 07' IS250 AWD PP, HID.. when the dealer was going through the car with us before we drive off on late saturday.. I realized that there was no trunk light?? I asked the dealer and he mentioned the light only comes with the Nav package.. I taught it must be a standard feature for all cars.. not only for lexus.. I am totally not happy when I heard that.. I have not got a chance to really look in truck if they do have a light and the bulb is not working..

Could anyone please confirm if this is true?? no trunk light for a Non Nav version.. I think this is ridiculous...

Thanks guys..

Sounds like bunk. Did you actually look for the light? There is a switch on it, so yours may be present but simply switched off.

you have to turn it on yourself. its on the roof of the trunk. dont worry, you have one. the dealer doesnt know crap if they said you didnt..

Thanks Guys...

I bet he did not know anything .. he even mentioned I don't have AFS and only the HID but when I looked at the sticker on the car it claimed it had the AFS .. which I really wanted.

The only thing I missed or overlooked on this car is the memory seat.. looks like the MS only comes together with the Lux package which includes the Nav.. My wife was a little dissapointed but .. she is ok with it now since she will be the only one driving it most of the time..

It really surprises me how often the sales guys at the dealership don't know much about the cars they sell...its kinda sad since they're the direct interface to the customer (us). Luckily we have this website and all the good contributers who help us along the way and learn not to always trust the sales guys.

well a lot of salesmen are just that, salesmen. not 100% aware of the product but knows how to sell it. i never go into any buying situation less educated on the product than the sales individual.

You don't need it if she is the only one driving the car. I still haven't set mine

I special ordered my IS350 with the lux package (no NAV-w/ ML) and got the memory seats! It can be done but, I waited 4 months for mine!

If your car says on the MSRP STICKER that it has AFS, it DOES. It's probably just turned off. There is a button on the left of your steering wheel, just press it and there should be an option to turn them on or off in that menu.

I have found the cargo light and it was switched off.. thanks guys..

There is another thing which my wife figured out last night that, my ES330 has the auto tilting side mirror when placed on reverse.. unfortunately this car does not have the function as well.. guess she is spoilt by the ES that did not realize not all cars comes with these options..

What does the Lux package without Nav include?

Once again thanks guys...

She loves the car.. she was driving it to work today on a rainy condition and she is all with smiles on her face and nothing to complaint about.. the AWD does make a difference..

I believe you need to have the mirror rocker switch set to either L or R for the mirrors to tilt.

Correct... If it's in the center position the mirrors will NOT tilt when the car is placed in reverse...

BTW, this is the opposite of many cars...

For those that have had this feature on previous cars, has the mechanism proven beefy enough to last the life of the vehicle with all that extra use?

I leave mine in the center position unless I'm parallel parking, since most of the time I'm just backing out of a regular parking space, and don't want to put unnecessary wear-and-tear on the mirrors.
