For those that have had this feature on previous cars, has the mechanism proven beefy enough to last the life of the vehicle with all that extra use?
I leave mine in the center position unless I'm parallel parking, since most of the time I'm just backing out of a regular parking space, and don't want to put unnecessary wear-and-tear on the mirrors.
The car I kept the longest with this feature was my 01 acura type s... I always had the auto-tilt enabled... I had the car 6 years and put 82k miles on it... Never had a problem...

I am sure if this question is for me... anyways I purchased the car in MD. I heard such thing from my dealer plus.. I guess he doe not know much either.. but I can see that my HID's are more white'ish.. wonder how the new ones are? honestly I prefer the white than the yellowish HID

My salesguy told me that my car had High Intensity Headlights - not Xenon... We argued back and forth about it. I gave him this confused look as I realized he didn't know s__t. Of course I had to point out on the sticker where it said Bi-Xenon HIDs...
He was like a slimey salesguy off of the movie Glengarry Glen Ross.

When I picked up my car, I asked the salesman why the blue Lexus scuff plates weren't illuminating. He told me that there is a light sensor, and they won't come on until it is pitch dark outside. (In actuality, they were off because the switch that turns on the overhead light when the door is open was off) Got to give him points for creativity.
