To Roll The Windows Up: You Have To Pop Off The End Of The Door Handle. Then You Can Use The Master Key, Rotate To The Lock Position For 3 Seconds And They Will Roll Up

So after doing all of that, press and hold on lock button and it will roll up or we'll have to pop off the end of the door handle to roll up everytime?

i'm going to go out on a limb here and say auto up using a remote went a bit too far in terms of liability, at least for Lexus. Although I can't say for sure and of course no one here can say for sure (even though they would like to believe they have the answer)...there might be other car manufacturer's who do this but perhaps Lexus chose not to take on the risk.

I don't call it a safety issue because that leaves too much room for debate. Rather if an accident were to happen, does Lexus want to take on the risk of being liable.

Ok Wow...

To roll down the all the windows and sunroof you hold down unlock key on your keyfob until the windows start going down its about 3 to 5 seconds. To get them back up you have to use the key that pops out of the keyfob for 2IS and pop off the plastic part on the door and manually insert the actual key into the hole and turn counter-clockwise which is the way you lock your doors w/ the actual key and hold it for 3 seconds to have the windows roll back up. you CANNOT roll the windows back up by just holding the lock button on the keyfob!

its probably for liability issues like someone said earlier. i know my bro's e46 bmw had the same feature and could only be rolled up with the key in the door or with the window switches in the car.
