holy crap you guys post replys fast. Thanks! Well quick update.

I went out and tried flipping them back and forth left and right no go, they'll only light up in a certain direction (facing up into the mirror housing) so I suppose my only other option is splicing or whatnot. Since I'm no electrician, I think I'll just put in one of those regular types and call it a day.

It's just daunting to screw, unscrew, rescrew bolts. Pretty much for nothing. On the other hand, I've gotten it down to a 3-5 minute thing so it's good practice I suppose.

Big ups to Llama for the tips.

Wow, I was reading through this thread and was kind of shocked to see that people were saying that most of these LEDs are actually dimmer than the stock lights??? Really??? I thought one of the purposes of this mod for most people was to get more light?

I was thinking of getting these per llamaboiz's recommendation. Would they actually be dimmer than stock? Also, does anyone know which type of 194 bulb would be best for the mirror puddle lamps? Regular or flank?

I was hoping to make both my puddle lamps and dome lights a little bit brighter (not crazy bright, but brighter than they are now).

those would be brighter than the stock halogens. they are HIGH POWER led's... much much brighter than the older ones people were using a year or so ago.

It depends on which led's you choose, the real cheeper ones wont provide the amount of lite your looking for which why i always suggest you use SMT/SMD type lites.

hahaha i see your still on the fence on the mirror puddles

The PAPAYA DOME MOD 2white/1blue it will give you the brightness you want when the doors are open and the cool lighting effect you want once you close the doors. BUT if you choose to run 3 blue bulbs in the dome it will be darker than stock due to color of the light being 'blue'.
