Default keyfob accidentally put in washer

So I left my keys in my pocket the other night and sure enough they went through the washer and into the dryer where I heard the noise of them rattling. I fished them out thinking the thing would be done but low and behold, it works fine. I actually snapped the case off to see why and found the electronics are protected by a waterproof gasket. Nice touch!

Lexus probably figured that with a keyless car people would forget that they even have keys
