Has anyone with the NAV system tinted their windows? The manual says tint may interfere. I've read you can get non-interfering non-metallic tint but that it is inferior. Any thoughts? Any recommendations for tint shops in the Inland Empire/Los Angeles area?
Just so you know, the Navigation antenna is right behind the rear view mirror, so almost any kind of tint should be fine.
I would keep in mind, however, that if you intend on installing any sort of XM, Sirius, or GPS AntiTheft (Like the new GPS based Stolen Vehicle Recovery Systems). You may wish to consider using Ceramic.
Side note: The XM Radio Antenna typically goes on the trunk lid, but many members have decided to put it on the rear deck, which is why I am mentioning it. (Metallic Tint would interfere).
my car has nav and is tinted with 5% limo tint..i dont think the tint i had put on was anything special..its probably just regular because it was only $180..and i havent had any interference with my nav

I tinted my car with 5% limo in the side and rear windows, and 30% full windshield and haven't had any problems whatsoever. I think Lexus is trying to be cautious....

I have 20% metallic tint on all windows with no problems with NAV or back up camera.

I am getting mine tinted tomorrow at Made in the Shade in Cypress, CA. I have gotten 3 cars tinted there, lifetime warranty, great work.
