Default Need non metallic tint recommendations

I know there is another tint thread already but I wanted to ask this question directly.

Could someone give me non metallic tint recommendations. I just got my 2002 GS300 with Navigation and I don't want to affect the Nav system with metallic tint. I want to put on 20% black tint. I've heard of Formula One, Solar Guard, Sun Gard and Llumar. I know that Sun Gard makes non metallic tints.

Metalized films last longer and usually come with a lifetime warranty. If you go with a dyed film they start to fade after a year. And eventually you will have purple tint. Just something you might want to consider.

Thanks,
John

Default Tint.

S10Loridr, good point, very good point.
Sam, my friend has a GS4 with navigation, he went
with Ray Ban. It looks beautiful and does not affect
the navigation system a bit, even though Ray Ban is
metallic.
Sam, think about what S10Loridr said, because it will
happen within a year, and then your beautiful car will
not look as pretty, believe me.
Good luck.

I got non-metallic tint installed, due to the NAV, from Guaranteed Alarm on Coney Island Ave in Brooklyn. It's been over one year and the tint is perfectly fine, no fading as everyone here is saying. Sam, I suggest you drive over there if you have time and check them out. Installer did a great job, even on the back window since they don't do 1 piece. Best of luck and enjoy ya new car.
