Default Ashtray replacement

Is there/Will there be a replacement/felt lined ashtray replacement? I hate cigarettes and just having an ashtray in my car is gross. Anyway to change this part out? Change the rear ashtrays? Why would they keep putting these atrocities in our cars?

Thanks.

2006 IS250 6sp on order.

Hey Lem,
In case you didn't already know this, you can remove the ashtray and they you just have an empty compartment. There is a little lever in the IS ashtray that you move and then you can lift it out.

It would be nice if they would offer a coin/token holder to go in that spot.

I've got the ashtray replacement from a Lexus dealership in Tokyo in last Dec during my stay. I basically ordered it and got it the next day. Glad that the guy can speak some Japanese coz' it is in Shibuya.

The picture doesn't justify the quality of the thing. The inside lining of the box is actually leather and there is a separator in leather which can be expanded horizontally to make the compartment double-deck.

I haven't had a chance to install it coz' you have to take out the central shift gear panel in order to take the whole ashtray out. You will forgo the cigarette lighter as the replacement box is one full lid wide.

The install shouldn't be difficult as you can follow up whoever post the pictures for taking out the navigation but I am still thinking out how to not scratch the centre panel as I got wood version.

Hope it helps.
