Basic Navi will play DVD movies?

Basic Navi will play DVD movies?

Thank you all for giving me lots of info on new ES350.

I never had navi before, so i need some info from you.

Does basic navigation w/ back up camera($2650) has a DVD playback capability?
Or do i need to get navi w/ mark levinson package(around $4000) in order to play DVD movies?

Please let me know.

You will need ML to play DVD. Also, you should know that DVD options are available only when the parking brake is engaged.

You can play the audio portion of a DVD while driving, but the video will not be displayed until the parking brake is set.

FYI.. my car had no sound capabilities when the DVD was being played. I had to take it in and have the wires connected correctly. It was the first warrantly service on my car.
