Steering wheel will not turn. Not locked
Have a 2006 IS250 AWD.
Car starts runs great, battery new, alternator is fine. No lights no codes.
Can not turn the stearing wheel. The wheel lock comes off and can wigle the wheel about an inch either way but will not turn no matter how hard I try.
Any ideas?

Well, without any background on what predates this issue it would be hard to say anything specific. For now, try taking the U-Joint off of Steering Rack and see if you can turn the Wheel and the Column separately from the Rack, that will tell you where to focus the attention. With that, make sure to leave the Alignment Marks before taking the U-Joint off, such you can install it in the same exact position, and do keep in mind that the Steering Column will still have a Clock Spring attached to it, so do not attempt to turn the Wheel for more than one complete turn for a test.
