06 IS350 Nav Screen Issues
I have an 06 IS350. Since I bought it my nav screen is always black, but works perfectly fine, turns on, touch screen, beeps, and is responsive whenever I use the climate control, aux, backup camera, etc. Whenever I try to use the nav map however, it say external system not connected. Do any of you guys know why the display doesn’t stay on when I’m not pressing a button and why it reads the system not connected error when attempting to use the nav map? And yes I have tried disconnecting the battery and the sorts to no avail. Just been thinking of getting a new unit to see if that fixes it.

This might be a stretch but maybe check the connectors behind the nav unit, I feel like that's why the system thinks something isn't connect. That or its the faceplate with the buttons not communicating with the nav unit. But I really have no idea.
