IS250 AWD offset questions
So im getting wheels for my IS and a buddy of mine is sellin his for cheap...just wondering if they'll fit ok...they are 5x114.5 but the offset is 25mm hows that going to be?? and can AWD do staggered fitment?
you could...but we need to know the width and diameter of the rim to tell you. johnny boy has ran +22 all around and they where flush...but had some stretched tires on it.
most car here run mid to low 30's
better yet, why don't you go there and put them on and see what happens?

To be totally sure I would just put your friends rims on your car. But it seems from your comment that he may not be near you? I just recently purchased an IS but have an sc300 so I'm not too sure how the 45 and 50 offset will look like for the IS, but that's fairly stock-ish for the sc. I have 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 with 45 offset on my SC and it's sunken in and I'm sure the IS has wider rear. I would look through the wheel thread sticky for possible size/offset you like and make a comparison to your friend's.
Hey, I know I'm a little late lol, but I'm curious as too how installing those 35 offset 17 inch rims went. Did they fit? Do they look good? And rubbing? Thank you for your time
Well, since I wasn't able to get a reply I took a gamble and went with it.
I am leaving this for those that find themselves in the same situation as me.
Using 225/50/R17 Tires of 17" Wheels with a 35 offset worked great, a little bit of occasional rubbing when turning ~70% on a bumpy or inclined road, but nothing to be worried about.
As far as I can tell it is only rubbing on two small spots of the plastic fender lining that can be pushed back using a heat gun.
Aside from that, I think it looks great as its almost flush and no longer "sunken in" as I felt the stock 45 offset tires did.
So for those looking to get 35 offset tires on a IS 250 AWD, go for it. Do expect a bit of rubbing when using 225/50/R17, although I expect less if any rubbing when using 225/45/R17 originally on these cars
