Default 2017 Nav Screen fit older 3IS?

I noticed the Nav screen in the 2017 is much bigger than what's in my 2014 IS350. Has anyone looked to see if the 2017 screen can be swapped into the older 3IS?

TIA

Thanks.
It would be expensive and probably not compatible. The entire infotainment system may be hooked up together so just replacing Nav or screen would probably not work.

It would be cheaper and a lot more convenient just to trade it in for the '17.
However i feel like the 14-16 screen was purposely designed for a small screen, just so they can increase the size for a mid-model refresh.
I always wonder why the front face was big but the screen is small.

Just reviving this thread - has anyone tried to do this? I tried searching myself and this was the only thread I found talking about this.

I'll be glad to attempt this if some one sponsor me $6000 for parts, labor, and research.

I would do it myself if that was the case lol
Was just curious if anybody tried. I just installed the bypass and mirror kit and extra viewing on the screen would be a plus.

Not a easy task.
Its not just the Display screen that is different.

Joystick Controls and main stereo headunit is also different. Possibly amplifier in vehicle as well.

2014-2016 Lexus IS is GEN8 navigation generation
2017+ lexus IS is GEN9 navigation generation.

I wouldn't mind if the screen fits and GEN 8 display can stretch to fill the extra space without changing out the whole system. I'm just dreaming.
