Exclamation 2009 Is 250

Good afternoon,
Just bought the car. Replaced the exhaust pipe, hood latch. It still needs to have ride height adjuster replaced. After replacing the muffler I took it for the drive and check engine light came on. One code is for o2 sensor on bay 1 downstream so thats easy already ordered the part. The second code is C1424 with the code C1241. I cant seem to find anything for lexus when it comes to C1424. Just wondering if any of you have any idea what is that regarding?

See link below for C1424 as for C1241 could be an indication of bad battery, or charging system. Bad alternators are common as the car nears a decade of life. I'd stick with OEM rebuilt from RockAuto.com, or another trustworthy source.

Thank you for the link. My understanding was that the C1241 is for the electrical system, Is there anyway to check if the alternator is working? I dont have any issues starting the car even after i parked it for 2, 3 days. I am not sure what you mean by "charging system"

See here:

With OHM meter on a cold start voltage should be around 14.3 then settle down around 13.3 to 13.5 give or take. The ECU controls the alternator to regulate the output need.

thank you. I did check and while car running the alternator is producing 13.89 . Battery was 12.6 before I started the car. I don’t think it’s alternator or battery. So is there anything else I can check to troubleshoot this?

The ABS module has a connector. Check for corrosion on the connections. It seems you're in Canada correct? If you decide to check make sure the battery is disconnect the battery.

There is not many failures of these modules. Last have you had your battery load tested?

hey mike, i have a 2009 is250 as well with both of these codes as well, tested the battery and alternator and both were good, also visually inspected the abs module and saw no signs of corrosion, could it be a problem with the brake actuator assembly itself? thanks
