Hey guys, when I'm gng arnd 45 mph and 65 mph, my steering wheel vibrates when I let it go. When I'm gng 65+ mph it doesn't! between 25-45 it vibrates slightly, and under 25 it doesn't either. Any thoughts?
Might wanna also Jack the car up bro. Just take a look all around the bottom. You know a conscious visual inspection.. maybe brakes, ball joints(see if they're loose; needs to be replaced), outer tie rods, etc). Just to be on the safe side. Sometimes it can just be ball joints or certain pattern of wear on the rotors & pads. Also, when you get it aligned tell the technician to check em out as well. Good luck bro! Hope this gets resolved fully!
My experience has been the major contributors to steering wheel vibrations are:
1) Tires
2) Rotors
3) Tie Rods and Ball Joints
4) Front End Bushings
5) Wheel bearings
Tires will usually clean things up, especially since they get balanced by the install shop, but there could be an underlying problem and the tire's uneven wear is just a symptom. Rotors tend to vibrate more when braking but can still contribute. Tie rods, ball joints, and front end bushings seem to go start showing wear anywhere from 80-120k miles. This is not limited to the IS300, just cars in general. Depending on how bad they are, they can make a car feel completely different when replaced. I threw wheel bearings in there because after replacing all the above, you might as well : ^) Good luck and report back when you resolve your issue.
Lol, got my tires and nope not the reason. So much for to technicians saying its a 90% chance it's tires! yep getting my car inspected tomorrow.
Get lower ball joints and outer tie rods put on bro. I'm not telling you to bank on that but there's a more then 50% chance that'll fix the problem. With a good alignment. Relatively cheap repair.
My mechanic said its the Tie Rods so I ordered inner and outer tierods from rock auto. He said its alright to drive tho, since its in its early stage of going bad. Better be those damn tierods tired of running back and forth lol.

I hope you ordered them MOOG bro. Those the best. Not expensive at all either. Doesn't matter where you buy them from. They're relatively cheap off any site.
