Use E Shift and see if keeping it in gear still produces those symptoms, then shift to see if it is your trans.

Check your transmission fluids before its to late. if your fluid looks like its darker then average trans oil then you might need to change it. Also, the trans fluid is more water then motor oil and red like cool aid. If you haven't changed your oil or dont remember the last time you flush your trans oil, change it. My cousin had problems with his transmission in his 01 IS300 and he flushed his fluid and it did the deed. Hope i helped

Funny you say that i was just thinking about how i should have got a flush instead of just a fluid change for the tranny....& btw DONT EVER GO TO AAMCO to get your fluid changed they over filled mine and i drained it a little it helped a little but it still jerks some.....sometimes it feels like its not catching....somebody said something to me about spyder gears or something like that?? like itll rev like its in neutral then slip into the gear and catch....& its an auto LoL not funny smh

Did the symptoms start before or after the fluid change?

Auto transmissions are very delicate when it comes to flush/fluid change.

How did you know if the tranny fluid was to much? I not sure how it is for our cars but if iam correct, you should check your fluids when its running. So it may seem alot when its at cold start but is correct onces running. I would get a fluid flush at Lexus asap.
