hey guys i wanted my hids a different color do recommend swapping out the entire hid kit or just finding new bulbs

Just the bulbs but it resets the whole car so if you have a navi it resets it and might need a code

Yes, just the bulbs, but are we both talking about the IS300? I've never heard that before. When I swapped my bulbs into new housings, no code was required. Also, the more blue/purple you go, the less usable light output you have.

should just be as easy as swapping out bulbs, havent heard of codes being thrown either.

ive always felt that the stock IS300 headlights were perfect, more blue/purple wouldnt look good IMO

Might be a little different but when installing a HID bulb switch on my cousins acura with navi the whole computer reset and needed a code to be turned back on
To switch the HID bulbs I believe we unhooked the battery to prevent us from being shocked, the label on the head light says warning high voltage and what not So by unhooking the battery we reset the computer so the navi needed a code

just swap the bulbs doesnt reset anything i had purple pink blue in mine swapped them on a regular basis lol
