Default Which Hid Bulbs?

Hi,

Im getting my headlights done with the q45 projectors. Im also buying an hid kit for the headlights. Do you guys have any suggestion on which bulbs i should get? I was thinking of the 8000k bulbs. Does anyone have photos light projection of diffrent hid bulbs. Much thanks

philips 6000k at the most. anything over this will look purple and will reduce the output.

factory 4100k is good also for pure white and has the best output.

stick with brand names bulbs because they last for a long time.

do a search on gammalex, he had q45 retrofits with philips 6000k bulbs. there may be others out there with this mod.

just an FYI, add about 700-900K to the given K rating since there will be a color shift as the bulbs "burn in" over the first like 100hours or so.

ie-
an OEM phillips 4100/4300K bulb normally ends up roundabout 5000K

Great, I'll keep that in mind My question is if 8000k have less output, they why would anyone get it over 6000k? Thanks

maybe the person buying 8000k doesn't know any better or they want that purple look
there are a lot of test out there indicating that driving with 8000k for a long period of time leads to eye fatigue..this is no good.
