Tanabe Sustec Pro Coilovers DONE!
OKAY! so im finally set on the height i want now. overall, it was a pretty easy install. the fronts went in the easiest, taking out the stock rears was kind of a pain. here's the pictures i promised (not with cell phone this time):
lol, these were the directions VVV
assembled:
front (before):
rear (before):
front shocks out:
i used zip ties to keep the brakes from putting tension the the brake lines VVV
front comparison:
fronts getting put in:
fronts done:
rear comparison:
i didnt take any pictures of before/after inside the wheel well, i was too ancy to just get it finished. so here is what it looks like now, after adjusting. much better in my opinion...
front after:
rear after:
finished!
and the strut bar:
driver side:
passenger side:
keep in mind, i had to borrow a buddy of mine's rear spare rims cause i need new rear tires badly, but all the shops are closed on sunday...so im rocking 2 different color OEM rims lol, by tuesday it will be the same. and the curb rash is unsightly, i know, im rocking the curb rashed rims till im done with performance upgrades. so save the curb rash comments to yourselves

the helper springs manage to absorb a lot of the small things in the road. so its still comfy, under harsh roads (i.e. canyons, back roads, windy roads) you can feel everything. handling is 20x better than stock. turns much more confidently, and there is a lot less body roll. body roll is kind of an issue with our cars cause its not the most compact car ever, so it wasnt completely eliminated, but significantly reduced. my tires dont squeal now either, when i take sharp turns kinda quick. everything just feels tighter, and most of all i feel safer taking turns a little bit faster than i would usually take them. all in all i love them. great for daily driving (which is what i use my IS for) but still able to handle harsh conditions and windy roads.
and lol at Faymester, the vette isnt mine. its my dad's. no pictures of it really either. he hasnt done anything except maintentance routines/magnaflow exhaust. its his DD

$103.00 with tax from my buddies from High End. They hook up all my parts @ wholesale price. since theyre sponsored by Tanabe they dont charge me shipping, just tax at what Tanabe offers the price to them at. the coilovers were 740.00 brand new. i plan on getting the rest of the suspension parts Tanabe offers for the IS300. F/R sways and F/R underbraces.
