gotta hand it to the //M Series - they are fast cars; but you are paying for that speed
a new one runs into the 40-50's....right?

Yeah, a new M3 run around $46K (MSRP). The amount of $ different is around $10K+ (IS300 vs. M3).
Can I order a Turbo Charge to go please.......

With a turbo install + here and there tune up ....That would be a fun (fair) race......

Defenitely!!

But don't try it with a supercharger, unless you are running a stage 4 or 5.

That's why I always would put my money on the turbo

although I would never buy a BMW over a Lexus, much respect to //M technology

3.2 liter inline 6 gets
333 hp @ 7900
262 torque @ 4900
thats squeezing everything you possibly can out of a 3.2 liter engine....just my 2¢

and yes - the markup is RIDICULOUS !

I was coming up from behind one yesterday. I had never seen one before, so I mistakened it for a 3-series from afar. But the closer I got to it, I was like "Why does the rear end look so different??" I attributed the aggressive look to maybe an aftermarket body kit, but when I got close to see the //M3 and the 4 exhaust I was like "Phat!" Of course it was some old dude driving it Probably going through his mid-life crisis...

i'm realy intreasted in getting a new M3...i was looking around few dealers and the best price i found it was $5k over invoice wich makes $52 for full loaded M3 and 5k over still kind of high.

freand of mine b0t a used 2001 M5 with only 200 miles on it for $69k (all posseble options),so i'm still confused what to do i also want to wait for new C 36 supecharged benz but i dout it will be cheaper then M3 ore faster then M3..

Default E46 M3....

My cousin has one of those E46 M3 and the car is grey metallic w/ black leather (I don't remember all of his options, but for sure, I know that he has the xenon, cd player, Harman Kardon). He paid for $59900 out of the door. And I know that as soon as the car's breaking in period is over... it'll be one hell of a beast!

I looked at the M3 before getting my IS, the dealer wanted 15k over MSRP. I bought the IS. for the same money I can make the IS faster and NOT look like the 500,000 BMW's driving around the bay area.
I see more BMW's in the bay area on my way to work, than I saw in a week in Germany.
