Update: I was given a build window of February 13-19th (Canadian build). Premium package but also digital rearview mirror, Head-up display, Ambient Illumination, Windshield wiper de-icer/fast response interior heater, 14 in Touchscreen, Digital key, heated steering wheel. But SA says they don't know when it's shipped until it gets assigned to transit. I guess the build dates have some elasticity too. What I'm wondering is, assuming it gets built according to schedule--when can I reasonably expect to have the car? Anyone have an idea? Thanks.
Are you interested in paying for all these extras? I passed on two vehicles because the dealer wanted to sell me something that had way more than what I was interested in. They got the message, and the third car was (almost) exactly how we wanted it (only about $800 of port-installed options). My total wait time was less then 3 months.
I was okay with some of these extras. I didn't want the key and didn't need the 14 inch screen. But the others ar pluses as I see it. It gave me the exterior color I want (Cloudburst) but with black interior when my first choice was Rioja. It also represented a bird in the hand as it were and I had previously rejected 3 opportunities due to colors I didn't want. So just hoping the build happens next week as slated.

Mine was assembled in Cambridge last summer on the 13th, shipped on 16th and arrived 23rd in the Carolinas. Give it 2-3 weeks.

The different trims between US and Canada are so confusing lol. You have a premium trim which in Canada is basically nothing. But then you have everything else added whereas for us that’s the ultra luxury trim which is just before the top executive trim. But anywho, that’s just around the corner and should be on your driveway soon! I ordered mine a month or so ago and I was told June/July it’ll be here.
My build window is Feb 8 to 18. Odd that yours is 6 days where mine is 10 days.
Found it in the dealers allocation that wasn't sold on January 19, by calling around. Hopefully will hear this week what the actual date is. My 350h has the executive package here in Canada which has all the options. ML is the issue with those.
I started this process In October. Was unable to get the exact car I wanted as allocated cars were offered so I grabbed one close to my wish list off an allocation. It is slated to begin production this Thursday. SA says should have it in March. But--he also said they've received nothing close to my wish list in their allocations (so I could make a swap) and since mine they've only received 3 NX350h. Gas or full hybrid are what they're getting these days. Makes me glad I grabbed the one I did. Cloudburst Gray w/Black NuLuxe Premium with lots of goodies added...most of them I'm fine with. I don't care about the digital key, or the HUD (though the digital mirror with it is fine), or the 14 inch display, or the towing package. They total an additional $2,800.00 above the car I built initially.
FWIW, I just picked up our new NX350h two weeks ago. We got lucky. We ordered a Tucson PHEV back in May 2022 with a 9 month wait time but when Biden killed the tax credits for foreign made PHEVs, we canceled our order. We then ordered a NX350h on Dec 30, 2022 at MSRP. We were told to expect a 6-9 month wait. But on Feb 1, we got call from the dealer saying someone had decided not to accept their car (due to "changed economic circumstances") and we had 24 hours to decide if we would take a car in our color (Silver/Palomino Premium pkg) but with a few different options. I didn't care for the digital mirror but then again, we got the base car for the 2022 MSRP, saving us a few hundred $. So we bought it. I am one of those who believes we are heading into a recession and I suspect people on the wait list will see begin to see more opportunities to buy a car that someone else ordered but can no longer afford.

Retired from the mutual fund industry and agree with you 100%.

Post some pics if you don’t mind, especially some shots of the prism trim with palomino if possible. Silver/Palomino would be acceptable for me but I have been waiting on luxury.
I am probably in minority but I think shortages of new cars will persist. The economy is far more robust than people think. I think there’s almost 0% chance of a crash and a very low probability of a recession. Keep in mind a lot of people will not be honest to the dealer about why they are canceling just to make things easy. There may be people losing jobs but I also know people getting 20% raises. The layoffs won’t drop demand by 50% which is how much production got cut. The news tends to be about yellow journalism because that is what sells.

I agree. I can't recall the exact language but this will do: Economists have correctly predicted 17 of the last 9 recessions.
There are a couple of NX350H Premiums available right now for somebody looking for one down at Lexus of Austin....ask for Brian.
A red with black int. and a black with red int.
The redline paint in person is absolutely beautiful.
I just bought one down there and they are straight up MSRP with no dealer additions. There were a couple of port options.
I was in and out in an hour and the tech guy was waiting to set up my phone. Thanks to Brian Erickson
Grecian Water / Black & Rich Cream (Premium) NX350h
Texas timeline for uncommon color combo: (TLDR: check with west coast dealers & pick up or ship if just you can’t wait the 1 year your dealership quotes)
10/22/22- $500 down and “wishlist/order” placed with our local Penske Lexus for a 2023 NX 350h - expected 6-8 months wait
April of 23- checked back to find wait increased to 8-10 months so we opened up to an all black interior option
July of 23- wait time increased to 10-12 months
8/7/23- 10 months into the wait. Lexus dealership CANCELED our order. We had “reached the #1 spot on the waitlist with no allocation in sight for our color selection/build”. Didn’t ASK if we wanted to cancel, but informed us they had already done so & would refund our deposit “as a courtesy”.
Hubby takes to the interwebs and contacts a Penske Lexus dealership in AZ that has had recent Grecian Water NX350h models in stock. Explains what we’ve experienced & gives the SA our wishlist.
8/19/23- email from new SA in AZ informing us their system had populated a 2024 NX with our spec list.
9/1/23- vehicle entered production & would soon be on the ship from Japan.
10/5/23- NX arrived in AZ
10/10/23 NX arrived via vehicle-hauler semi truck!!
After test driving all the competitors my wife fell in love with the NX350H...actually I think she loves it more that me . Unfortunately our local dealer is asking $8k over invoice. Obviously people are willing to pay this but I'm not. So I have deposits with 2 other dealers in GA and TN who are not marking up. I've been told the wait is 2 to 4 months...not clear if this means being allocated a car or delivery and to be honest it doesn't really matter I just want know a car is on it's way. Do you think under the current market conditions 2 to 4 months is realistic?
Thanks, John.
I was told 2.5 months but I got my NX 350h in about 3 weeks. I paid MSRP. I put my $500 to reserve a car that was allocated to the dealer - so I had a specific VIN my deposit was associated with. There wasn’t much paperwork to the reservation, just a print out of the car’s specs, price, VIN and my credit card receipt stapled to the paper. I think the timing 2-4 seems reasonable. My salesman said he would keep me informed. He contacted me about a week later about 3 other NX 350h’s that were scheduled for delivery but I was not interested in those colors so I waited for the car that I had reserved
