Default Typical wait time for NX350H

Hi everyone and this is my first post.

After test driving all the competitors my wife fell in love with the NX350H...actually I think she loves it more that me . Unfortunately our local dealer is asking $8k over invoice. Obviously people are willing to pay this but I'm not. So I have deposits with 2 other dealers in GA and TN who are not marking up. I've been told the wait is 2 to 4 months...not clear if this means being allocated a car or delivery and to be honest it doesn't really matter I just want know a car is on it's way. Do you think under the current market conditions 2 to 4 months is realistic?

Thanks, John.

For a hybrid, that seems shorter than I'd expect. I'm not sure what kind of inventory your area/market is receiving and how many people are on the waiting list, but in my area, it's up to a 1 year wait

WA State, different part of country.
We put in a deposit in May. We were hoping for summer, but dealer is still working off deposits from Jan-Feb.
Dealer was hoping waitlist would get worked off quickly after Cabridge plant started up, but things are still a little slow.

Dealer said we would likely be looking at a 2023 model. I'm looking forward to seeing what, if anything, changes. Maybe an extra color combo if we are lucky.
We are being very restrictive on our vehicle so may have to wait longer. Only 1 trim level with 2 interior/exterior colors.
We usually keep vehicles 15+ years so waiting a little longer for colors we will live with that long is worth it for us.

Thanks and yikes. just to clarify I am talking about the 350H not the 450H+. Does the 12 months still apply.

From my observations, 2 to 4 month is overly optimistic for the hybrid model. At this time, 6-8 months seems to be the average provided by dealers.

Is it $8k over invoice or msrp? Truecar says that markup is the norm in my ZIP code and provides an estimate of the average markup paid by buyers.

Does it mean we’re looking at MY2023?

We are waiting for 350h.
We wanted the 450h+ but decided it was unobtainable with reasonable effort for us. They don't sell 450h+ in WA state. Dealers say we would need to go to OR or CA to get one. There is a different thread on those kinds of problems.

Can't comment directly on whether it would be 12 months from now. Car production has been increasing. Dealer thinks waitlists will burn down at some point. 2023 models could be produced this year, but nobody knows yet.
I'm curious how many people currently waiting for an NX will opt for the RX instead now that it is available. Might shorten some waitlists.
Dealer thought they could get us the RX before an NX fwiw. My wife doesn't want one that big though.

I reordered from another dealer on March 30, 2022

I f finally got allocated on July 7, 2022 for a fully loaded ( $56K) color Redline/Palomino NX 350h

Now the wait is weeks

I put a deposit on a 350H Luxury, fully loaded, on 1/31. One came in 6-weeks ago, but I passed. The one I want was built on Monday, and I hope to have it in August 🤞

Local dealer here in SE Wisconsin, says for anything other than a basic optioned white or black, premium package 350h, it will be at least 5-6 months.

Sorry I meant $8k over MSRP/Sticker. It's the price they show on their website.

FWIW my local salesperson told me that all Luxury packages are built in Japan. He showed me their current allocations and it seemed that all the Luxury spec'd NX"s where being built in Japan.

Not true. My Luxury NX350h was built in Cambridge.
