2008/58 400h a/c problem
Hi all can anyone help. When I turn my ac on the compressor just clicks followed by the fans kicking in for just a sec or 2 then nothing. Has anyone got any ideas on what the issue is. Thank in advance

Hi and thanks ukrkoz. Is this the only explanation as I had taken it for regassing and was told it had no leaks so he started to gas the AC up this is when he noticed the compressor wasn't working. Do you think I need a second opinion, I believe it was a pressure test they used to check it.

Update
Hi all, I've taken my car to Toyota for an AC service to identify any issues which apparently was all ok ( no leaks) so they regassed the system but I've got the same problem ( compressor just clicking and fans come on for a sec or two) I'm now taking it back on thursday for a full AC strip down to find the issue. Please if anyone has any ideas on what the issue is it would be great to hear from you.

Wish I could give you some direction, but my a/c and cooling system has been perfect and if it did fail I would take it into my town to the Toyota dealer that is quite a bit less expensive than the Lexus dealer. Keep us updated on the casue and repair needed.
