I can try but don't think they will come below 24k. Anyhow what should I check in this car from my mechanic before buying to make sure it is fine and do not have any issues since used very less in last few years (i read that lot of engine components, muffler etc needs to be used fir better use and low miles are not always ideal)

So 2008 is gone and 2006 is not coming below 24k, Is it worth paying that much money for almost 8 years old car even with 10k miles on it or wait for another car?

Other option is to get 2008 400h with 43k miles with lexus certified (3years/100k) for 28.5k?

see which car you feel comfortable with, i.e maintenance done to it, battery life, condition, warranty (if you want it)
you are the one that makes the final decision, you have gotten good imput, from checking things online at lexus, and carfax, to issues people have with batteries.
also see what the dealer would take for the certified one. 25k and Id buy that one.

-let us know which one you get.
