Default HID in foglights help

Hi all. new Lexus owner. Bought he wife her dream car. We didn't set out specifically for the 450H but the pricing and availibility just turned out that way. Been lurking a lot and learned a lot. We love the 450H but in terms of modifiing its a bit more challenging then a non Hybrid GS. I've done some modding in the past but nothing requiring professional work. I've run into a head scratcher. How the heck can I get this HID kit I bought to work in the foglights. In the past my kits never required a relay harness, they just plugged right into the stock sockets and were good. The kit I have now wont fire. I'm assuming this relay harness is needed but the battery is in the back so no way I'm going to be able to run this thing to the fogs. Am I out of luck on this?

fhan888 - if you are plugging the HID kit in without a harness and nothing is turning on chances are it's reversed polarity. You will have to change the orientation of the positive/negative wires on the HID connector.

You mean physically cut the wires and reorient them? The plugs all have notches so they only plug in one way.

No. You can physically re pin the connector. Each terminal has a plastic catch beside it. You need to pry the catch away from the terminal by using a precision screw driver. Once you do this the terminal will slide right out of the plastic connector housing. You then just need to reverse the locations of the wires.

Totally worked but then one side died in 5 minutes. Vendor is sending new pair but after that I'm gonna go to xenon depot for them. Even worse I ordered 5000k and the dam things looked like 6500k. Teach me not to go with a proven vendor

Awesome! If you could post up some feedback about the 5000k D4S Xtreme HID bulbs I would greatly appreciate it. You've already got experience with one product so you can definitely do a comparison =)
