When I read the estimated figures, it only underscores what good value the GS450h is. I don't consider the Panamera a competitor of the LS600hL. The latter is a car you want to be driven in. The Panamera is not as spacious in the back as a lwb LS or S-class.
@ Rominl- Drive a Pan and you will see the engineering goes much deeper then the badge. That car is simply amazing. A pretty large group of us were invited to drive one a week before they were released. Everyone there was floored and many of them were professionals in the industry for many years. We couldn't believe that a car of that size could be thrown into a corner at speed and not only maintain the line but also keep its composure. It was always willing to go faster. You quickly forget your in a coupe/sedan. I'm not crazy about the style of the car, it's simply OK. Like most Porsche's, it looks better in person then pictures. However, the build quality is very impressive. The ride and creature comforts of that car is simply outstanding.
Ill put it this way, the M5 is in the same price range, has more power and is a blast to drive at speed - But I feel the Pan is better.
OP- The Pan S gets 24MPG and has 400hp. This Hybrid will weigh more and produce slightly less power but is claiming to get approx 48 MPG. That's a big deal! 48MPG matches 100Hp Prius. This is a 380Hp Porsche that will outperform a prius in every-way. And when it comes to quick luxury hybrids, who's matching those stats? This is a big deal. IMO
