Hatch Back Opening Question
Another question from a new owner. Sometimes the aft hatch opens via the Dash Board push button, sometimes it doesn't open. It always opens via the KEY FOB pushbutton. I have checked and confirmed the push button in the glove box for correct position. Is there a trick to getting the dash button to work 100% of time provided the car shifter is in the PARK position?

Park is not the only safe position, the vehicle should be OFF too. Although the ICE may not be running, it might come on and if it does the exhaust fumes would enter the cabin.
My extended family always poopooed the Lexus for manual lift of hatch ... I personally like the over safe manual only lift.

Make sure the car is unlocked. It will not open w/ the dash button if the car is locked.
Not sure if that’s your problem.. but you will hear two quick beeps warning that the car is locked when you try to open the hatch with the lower dash button.
