Default Ignition question

Is there any way to disable the little button above the keyswitch that needs to be depressed to take the key out on my 1990 ES 250? This car gets loaned out frequently and people are forgetting how to remove the key from the ignition after driving it. Can a method to permanently keep the button depressed be used without undue consequences?

Don't loan your car out to people that can't learn how to press a button. I don't know how to disable that button and neither would I it is an important safety feature.
