Default No Audio Whatsoever!!

I have an HS250h non Levinson edition. Radio, Bluetooth, sattilite radio, phone and voice NAV not working.

Prompts to all of the above works, but no sound. You can make a call, but you cannot hear them, NAV and sattilite radio tunes in, but no volume control guage seen when twisted.

Every time you start car, an audible "pop" is heard, but that's it.

I unplugged , then plugged the amp to no avail.

Could it be a fuse? Or something else? I hope the amp isn't toast. That's expensive.

Any ideas?

All signs point to the amp. That popping noise might be it tripping out every time it receives power.

Thanks for the fast reply. What would be the most cost effective way to replace it? Lexus dealer, stereo install shop? Boom box in back passenger seat?

Any suggestions would help.

Boom box in the back sounds like a plan.
I know there are shops that refurbish Lexus amps for a bit too bad fee. Hopefully someone with more info on that can chime in or you can search posts related to "amp repair". You'd have to start by diagnosing it as indeed an amp failure though, which might require a trip to the dealer. If you're friendly with your service advisor, maybe they won't charge you for the diagnosis.

Maybe try going into Diagnostic Mode on the radio and read the trouble codes. You can find the procedure, if you are handy, on or around page 27 here:

DETAILED DESCRIPTIVE INFORMATION.docx.pdf

Here is a trouble shooting guide for the radio and associated systems:

DTC Trouble Shooting Procedures.pdf

If you need to replace the amp, here is how to do it:

STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER.pdf

Good luck and report back on what you found.

Got a free diagnostic from Kuni Lexus scheduled this Tuesday. Take it from there.

Airman, thanks for the schematics. Looks involved. I'm fortunate that I can afford (the possible $1200 amp replacement😳😳 at dealership) a worst scenario repair.

Taking out the seat for instance, I don't have a breaker bar to loosen That. The cost savings from owning a Toyota product offsets the cost of the amp.

My neighbor has a 2008 BMW 330i he just spent $2350 for a computer module last week, and $1,100 for a window regulator last month....

...um, I guess putting vinyl wrap on a grille repairs the faulty amp(?). Cause and effect?

Sound system working fine all day long... Will Lexus dealer still be able to diagnose Gremlin?

have you fixed your issue? i have the same issue as well.. i dropped of my amp to my local car audio repair shop.. they cant find anything wrong with it... but im getting no audio, no volume response when turning the volume up or down... (no volume indicator) im reading and every one is pointing towards the amp..

im stuck right now.,, reptuable shop tested the amp and everything is fine, they are suggesting the headunit may be faulty. or perhaps one other module in between the amp and head unit...

Got the diagnostic at Lexus dealership and was OK. Plugged back in and 22 days later no issues.

Could hot hot climate be the problem? The audio quit when weather was 90-100 degrees here last month. Went away when the weather cooled down here in Portland.

I feel your pain ....it's so frustrating.
