Default Advice on Servicing

Hi, entered the Lexus family this evening. Bought a 2010 HS250H with 28640 miles from a dealer. From following the carfax reports, if they can be trusted, this is what it says:

11/27/2012 28,581 Nalley Lexus - Roswell
Roswell, GA
678-461-0800

Washed/detailed
Tire condition and pressure checked
Throttle body cleaned/serviced
Tire(s) balanced
Recommended maintenance performed
Fluids checked
Brakes checked
Axles checked
Cooling system checked
Exhaust system checked
Fuel system checked
Steering/suspension checked
Maintenance inspection completed
Air filter replaced
Anti-theft/keyless remote battery replaced
Brake fluid flushed/changed
Oil and filter changed
Front wiper blades/refills replaced
Maintenance reminder reset
Tires rotated

02/04/2013 28,640 Auto Auction
Georgia Sold at auction

I bought 02/18/2013

With these above performed between then and the time it was sold to me, 18 Feb 2013, should I still take this vehicle to Lexus to let them do some type courtesy check anyway top to bottom? Looking at the Carfax report also it shows this vehicle has been service routinely at 5k miles. Is the check above basically a 30k mile service??

Is it possible for Lexus to verify the maintenance performed on this vehicle is accurate??
Thanks for any advice or recommendations!

Sign up for an account on mylexus.com and if you put in your VIN it will show all the service done at the Lexus dealerships. Any Lexus dealer should be able to look up the service records for you. What you list looks like the 30k service. Tires are probably close to end of life if they have not been changed, original are Toyo's I believe. If it's CPO the tires should be new, at least that's what my Lexus dealership told me. Oil changes are needed every 10k, the 5k service is rotating the tires, and checking stuff. My service guy told me to save my free service certificate for the 10K service since it's more expensive with the oil change.

Thank you, tires actually have very good tread but I would like them to be checked anyway.

The above service was pretty close to a 30,000 mile service, but one thing they forgot to replace was the air conditioning cabin air filter.

I'm surprised they did a brake fluid flush. Most places don't. And that IS part of a 30K service.

And I'd bet they didn't do a throttle body cleaning, and if they did, that would really be a step above!!

Yeah, but I meant the air filter in the car that is located behind the glove box.

It like changing the air filter in your heater in your house every few months. And you know what those look like when you pull those out after a month or three. They tend to be nasty. I didn't mean the filter for your engine.

As for the throttle body. Most places just leave those alone, unless the car has set a "Check Engine Light". Otherwise I can't figure out why they would want to mess with it, unless they were very particular and a step above kind of shop.

I've started replacing the cabin air filter myself rather than having it done at the dealership. The dealer wants about $45 for the filter + labour while I can get a Fram cabin filter at Canadian Tire for about $20. It took me about 20 minutes to change the filter the first time (including time spent removing and replacing the contents of the glove box). It should take a lot less the next time.
