It's not worth trying to keep the ML amp and head unit if you want to upgrade the whole system. I'm by no means an expert but a qualified shop can use the existing wiring.
I have an odd issue that started recently where the physical volume control and audio control buttons in the center console would not respond right after I get in and start the GX. All the controls on the steering wheel still works. After several minutes, it starts working again. This is a '13 with ML system. Anyone else experience this?
Have you tried a system reset? Pull the negative on the battery for a few min, reconnect. Searching for similar issues in other Lexus vehicles have mentioned this restored functionality.
Has anyone replaced the ML subwoofer and used the existing enclosure? My sub has popped and I don’t think it can be saved so I was hoping some people have swapped them out with a JVC, JL, Kicker, whatever brand with good results.
After digging through these forums and manufacturer websites, I found that little to no information exists for the 2nd Gen GX audio systems with the Mark Levinson package installed. I embarked on the long journey of dismantling various pieces of my "new" (new to me) 2014 GX to upgrade my subwoofer. I previously had a 2002 Toyota Sienna that I installed an additional amp and subwoofer in. I wanted to then install it in this Lexus. I'll be posting many detailed photos of the components following this initial post. It will be a day or two before I put everything back together so if anyone wants any info or pictures on the system and its rear sub/amp, feel free to ask below and I'll try my best. WARNING: the Mark Levinson audio package is MUCH more difficult to work with than the standard stock system. It was well worth it though since I spend long hours researching my audio equipment.

Hey all, I bought a 2011 GX460 premium with 100k miles on it. One thing I noticed is a weird whining noise coming from the back left side of the car (drivers side). I have pin pointed it to the rear left side all the way where a speaker is located. Can anyone help?
the seats are all the way down, and its not the fuel pump. not sure where the amp is located but could it be a fan on the amp if its located there ? thanks for any input
