Open the center speaker cover and disconnect the speaker to confirm. I don't recall if you have a setting on ML to accomplish the same without a disconnect?
No Bass to Mark Levinson when restarting car...weird
I’m looking for help guys and gals...I’ve been trying to troubleshoot an issue I’ve been having for over a month. I’ll try to explain... Each time I start my vehicle the bass in the audio overall sounds weak, or underpowered. In the audio screen, when I click on sound, I see that it has stored my bass settings, which I have set at 2 from the max. As soon as I move the bass up OR down in the sound settings it comes to life. The audio sounds full, like it should! I have to do this every time I restart my car. It’s like it doesn’t store the bass setting... Treble and Mid seem unaffected. Yes, the subwoofer is still working, before and after I adjust the bass from a restart. I have pulled the fuse, tried to do resets by unplugging the battery from the car for ~ 2 hours. I’ve gone into the service menu on the infotainment to see if there is anything in there (holding info and flipping on headlights 3 times). Nothing has seemed to help. Any other suggestions??? Is there a more complete way to reset the infotainment or some wiring harness I should check?
For reference I have a 2013 Premium with the Mark Levinson Sound system.
Is it the same on every input as sound settings for each input are different?
I had a moment to play a little before work today. Results are the same for each input I tried. FM, USB, and Bluetooth all sound anemic until I adjust the bass up or down. Once I adjust it on one input it works across the board, until I restart my car...
I can't say I remember hearing a report about this from others. I don't see this specific issues in the problem chart of FSM either. I wonder if ML amplifier is getting flakey?
Sounds like what happened to my wife's Cayenne just before cutting out all together. The sound comes back intermittently, but it's definitely needing to be replaced. Maybe check out www.car-part.com for a used amp, then swap it out. Shouldn't be too difficult.
"Mark Levinson 17-speaker 330-watt, all channels driven, @ less than 0.1% THD, 20-20,000 Hz48 Premium Surround Sound Audio System25 with Automatic Sound Levelizer (ASL), 7.1 architecture and in-dash, single-feed, six-disc DVD/CD auto-changer"
Apologize if this was thoroughly discussed over the years in other threads. I want to make sure I have accurate info for the FAQ here as well as the GXOR Wiki.
Potentially some unicorns models out there?
My '15 Luxury ML system does not have the six disc changer, but a single disc system. Upon seeing this thread, I thought I overlooked the capability, but the NAVI manual makes no mention of the single-feed, six disc changer.

If memory serves me correctly, the single feed disk changer only comes with non-nav option. Nav/ML replaces the disc changer with a single DVD player.
Interesting.. I didn't know that changer was removed from '14+ ML. I'll have to note that in the model year change thread. I've only used mine recently with some DVD-Audio titles
After digging through these forums and manufacturer websites, I found that little to no information exists for the 2nd Gen GX audio systems with the Mark Levinson package installed. I embarked on the long journey of dismantling various pieces of my "new" (new to me) 2014 GX to upgrade my subwoofer. I previously had a 2002 Toyota Sienna that I installed an additional amp and subwoofer in. I wanted to then install it in this Lexus. I'll be posting many detailed photos of the components following this initial post. It will be a day or two before I put everything back together so if anyone wants any info or pictures on the system and its rear sub/amp, feel free to ask below and I'll try my best. WARNING: the Mark Levinson audio package is MUCH more difficult to work with than the standard stock system. It was well worth it though since I spend long hours researching my audio equipment.

So, if it is much more difficult with the ML you would like this as a starting point to mod rather than the standard system? Guess having the existing sub would be a perk.
Thanks!
