Default paint question

New '17, less than a month old with about 600 miles on it and taking it for a car wash, noticed 3 chips on side (driver's side). Never noticed any rocks or anything hitting it. Even had the extra Armorall protectant added. Totally pissed about it. Any suggestions other than touch up kit? Does Lexus paint suck that badly?

That sucks... I know the feeling.
I've had good luck with Dr Colorchip. They won't disappear but you will have to look for them. IMO better results than just touch up paint.

I bought some touch up paint and clear coat from Automotivetouchup.com and they match up pretty well for Tungsten Pearl. I had to touch up a large spot on the lower front bumper and a few spots on the rear. Could barely tell from normal distant.

I am not so sure. I bought Lexus CPO from Lexus dealer and they told me they used Lexus touch-up paint for some of the stone chips... looks like they used liquid paper!! I have had good luck with Dr.Colourchip as well.

That is because it looks like you have Starfire Pearl. That white you see is just the base white coat. There is a pearl caot and clear that needed to be added to it

No new cars have "good" paint. All cars are painted with water colors. Just go get a kids water color kit to fix it, (yeah being sarcastic).

It doesn't look even close, looks like they used a different paint code thinking the truck is white color. Small dealers do that to make it look good. Lexus CPO not a good idea. You should take it back and let them fix it properly.

Hahahaha... the car was purchased from the largest dealer in Toronto, Canada. They swore they used Lexus touch-up paint of the right colour. Yet it looks like someone just used liquid paper.

Take a look at the pics here - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/can...-headache.html

They have resprayed the rear spoiler and the part behind the front driver wheel.
