My last fill up with city driving 14.32 MPG with BP 93 octane. The dealer said my mileage should get better once it's broken in. When I picked it up, my highway mileage was 14.03 MPG, but I'm not sure if they filled it with premium and I'm sure they didn't fill it up all the way to the top.

I think you should have a full tank of gas when you pick up your new car, at least that's what I got, but I know those are not the best premium fuel in the market, I always use V-Power, hope it will get better after this tank is empty
So I've been told. My first boyfriend who taught me how to drive was a GM dealer and a stock car racer on the side. I guess that's what happens. . . .
And for all I know, my seat rattles (re prior post) but my music is always on and would drown it out regardless. I tend to enjoy my vehicle.
well then I won't have to be worry if I stay behind you at the red light, won't have any slow start
And it is hard to avoid rattle if the car have folding seat, I heard some rattle from my right rear seat today on a bumpy freeway, but that time it had a 1200 pages manual on the seat didn't hear the noise again after I move the pack

The gauge read full, but they didn't top off the tank. When I fill up, I fill it all the way up, not just when it clicks off. I checked my mileage again today with a calculator when I filled up, city driving 14.15 MPG. I only run BP 93 octane, I would never use mid grade. It says right on the fuel door, premium fuel only. It only costs a couple dollars more per tank to use premium over mid grade.
I specifically asked my dealer if 89 fuel was OK. He checked and said I might not get as good mileage in which case I should use premium. The truck runs fine on 89, and the mileage is great. Can't hurt to try it.

I don't suggest you keep running on 89, I work at Lexus service before, have customers came back for problem because of not using premium fuel, it won't hurt you if you use it once a while, but problems will start growing up if you keep using it.
You might save several bucks every tank, but when it come to repair, it will cost thousands, and sometime it won't under warranty~
