MPG Discussion
I had driven 80 miles so far, and most of the time city driving...
Having hard time hitting 15 MPG  my screen show 14.x MPG |
Mine barely hits 12 if I'm lucky. 400 miles.. . .

So I've been told. My first boyfriend who taught me how to drive was a GM dealer and a stock car racer on the side. I guess that's what happens. . . .
And for all I know, my seat rattles (re prior post) but my music is always on and would drown it out regardless. I tend to enjoy my vehicle. :) |
My last fill up with city driving 14.32 MPG with BP 93 octane. The dealer said my mileage should get better once it's broken in. When I picked it up, my highway mileage was 14.03 MPG, but I'm not sure if they filled it with premium and I'm sure they didn't fill it up all the way to the top.

1200 miles so far, I got 19.4 on the first tank from the dealer, been using 89 since and got 20.2 and 19.8 on the last two tanks mixed city/highway.

I think you should have a full tank of gas when you pick up your new car, at least that's what I got, but I know those are not the best premium fuel in the market, I always use V-Power, hope it will get better after this tank is empty

So you didn't put premium fuel for the car?

I specifically asked my dealer if 89 fuel was OK. He checked and said I might not get as good mileage in which case I should use premium. The truck runs fine on 89, and the mileage is great. Can't hurt to try it.
You might save several bucks every tank, but when it come to repair, it will cost thousands, and sometime it won't under warranty~ |
Actually 14 MPG city driving is quite acceptable for a 4.6L V8 SUV; my current car is a 98 ES300, and with premium I'm getting only 17 MPG.

Double digits! ;-)

Seems like I need to re-vote my poll~ Just gas up with V-Power and doing some freeway drive... and this come up :D
