New member here with a ‘21 GX, hoping someone can help me out.
I had one key fob that worked perfectly and ordered an 2nd oem from a dealer. Used Techstream to program the new fob, however, at the last step an error occurred and I’ve seemed to lost/deactivated my smart access. Both fobs are registered and will start the car. Neither fob (nor door handle sensor) will lock or unlock the car. Unfortunately the error message disappeared quickly.
Is this destined for the dealer to fix or is there a setting in Techstream I can enable?
Have you checked under Settings, if Smart Access has been disabled?
Thanks for the reply! In the Enform settings? No everything looks good there. I’m not a Techstream expert but all of the Smart Access settings look correct there as well. It seems to logging the lock/unlock requests, it’s just not fulfilling the request.

Just the OEM on screen setting, under car’s customization section, there is an option to turn Smart Access on or off…. (2021 GX Manual Page 587)

I can’t actually find that setting in the menu, I’ve read toggling that is a dealer setting. That said, the push button starts fine, so if that were off I think I’d need to do the process of holding the key to the push button.
Interesting indeed! Thanks for the resources. Lexus is about 2 hours away, so I have an appt with Toyota for tomorrow. Will report back with what I learn.
Toyota was able to fix by reprogramming both keys. What still doesn’t make sense (to me) is why my original key programming was screwed up by programing a new key.
Anyway, just wanted to share the resolution in case it helps someone in the future. Thanks for the replies!

Glad you got it resolved. It is possible the version of your techstream might be outdated which may not fully support 22+ GX that resulted only partially programmed key due to newer versions of ECUs.
