#Vibration through steering wheel when under load?
I had ( still happens on occasion ) this on my 2018 until I got the Michelin Defender LTX tires. Its been much better overall except when the tires are cold ( steering vibrates 55-70 mph )
Am glad I cancelled my order for the 2023 because of this concern!
Service advisor said that's their protocol where to start. Thank god next thing out of her mouth was "and it made it worse"
Not happy the car I purchased that had 3miles when we picked it up. Now will have non factory balanced tires without original wheel weights, but what are you going to do?
Next step they said they're ordering new factory tires. Apparently to many flat spots on the tires. They said same Michelin tires will be put on.
This wont solve it. Flat spots you would feel at all rpms and speeds, but they can keep it till they find the issue. I thinks its an unbalanced driveshaft, cv axle, motor or tranny mount personally.
Anyone know what would happen if they do not have the same color combo in stock what would happen if they had to swap the car out? Lemon law is 3 times back? Or is it 3 tries to fix it? Meaning they have tried 2 times so far in on one service appointment, it will be be 3 repairs at a minimum before they attempt to say its fixed.

Talked with service manager asking for compensation, refund, or an exact replacement vehicle with less the 3 miles on it. Same color Obviously.
1. Bought a brand new GX460 with 3 miles on it when we picked it up. ( problem was there )
2. Paying insurance already.
3 Car payment for a vehicle I do not have. We had it in our possession for 12 days, they've had it for 20 days.
4. Its not a brand new car anymore
5. Just throwing parts at a brand new car that are OEM and not OE
"If your car is out of service during repair attempts for 15 or more business days, that also meets the requirement, even if there aren’t 3 separate repair attempts. Under this law, a business day is any day the service department of an authorized dealer is open for business." https://www.mass.gov/guides/guide-to-new-car-lemon-law
What is the new car Lemon Law? MASS.GOV
"Under the Massachusetts Lemon Law, you may receive compensation for your new car, motorcycle, van or truck if you bought it in Massachusetts from a licensed dealer and it has at least one defect that substantially impairs its use, market value, or safety. The vehicle must be used by you for personal or family purposes, and must not have been bought by or registered to a business. The defect(s) must be discovered and subject to a reasonable number of repairs during the "term of protection" of 1 year or 15,000 miles of use from the date of the original delivery, whichever comes first."Am so glad I didn't buy the '23, nor would I recommend it given the poor UX I've had it with this issue as well.
Like I stated in another thread related to this issue, I made multiple trips to the dealer here in Dallas, TX and dropped north of $4K ( new OEM Michelin tires, multiple road force balancing, multiple alignments, new wheels, wasted gas, new rotors and pads, added mileage.. ) and the dealership still couldn't figure out .. But, of course, mine being bought pre-owned, did not afford me much recourse.
Finally, getting yet another set of Michelins ( this time the LTX over the OEM LT Tours ) at Discount Tire has remedied the issue, for the most part. Still get slight vibration under load ( specifically around 55 - 70 mph ) when the tires are cold. But, NOTHING like it was..
This SUV ain't all that it's made out to be.. just my .02!
