Default Missing chrome piece on GX460

Hello everyone,
I just bought my 2021 GX460 and it been running well until I brought it back to dealer to fix mud flaps and when I got my car back I notice there is Chrome piece missing on audio player. And the service department cant do anything about this while my car is still under warranty.
Is anyone know where can I buy this? Little missing piece drive me crazy.

They just want you to pay for it, not Lexus. Did they write that on the service invoice? If so, a phone call to Lexus will solve that pretty quick

They didn’t say anything until I get home and notice it. They cant order that piece alone , have to buy the whole audio player which cost more than $10k. Smh

I am not sure what line of BS the service department is feeding you but that is a warranty item and should be replaced at no cost to you immediately. It does not matter if the chrome strip is available or if they have to replace the entire switch unit. Go back and to the dealer.

^ This. Get Lexus corporate involved. They take good care of their customers.

My Dealer tried to pull the same BS with my first gen. An HVAC sensor went out and after the repair, one of my panels was distorted. They tried to tell me it was already there and my responsibility. The crazy part is, I had removed that same panel 6 months prior when I installed the VAIS iPod interface. I had done two more for friends by the time the dealer broke my panel. They weren’t having any party of it. I told them fine. If I can prove to you I didn’t break it will you take responsibility? They hesitantly said yes.

i walked over to a b rams new one on the floor and it took me all of three seconds to pop it off without tools. I held it in my hands and asked if they could explain how I broke it?…. Nothing but dumb looks, but they were super annoyed I took their showroom car apart. I had a replacement the following week.

doesn’t quite apply in this case, but I’m betting they have another used one on the lot that will be missing it’s chrome strip pretty soon. I bet a piece of boxing tape will pull it right off, if not the whole button. Those little Nurf darts are pretty strong too and right about the right size. Just saying. It’s the dealer who screwed up your radio. They should cover the button. As suggested corporate is an option too.

Sadly, gone are the days when buying a Lexus meant well above standard customer service.
