I keep getting a “check rear seat” notification from the Lexus app and I’ve checked rear seat to make sure it’s locked, positioned correctly etc. and I’m still getting check rear seat? Any reason why I’m still getting notifications?

Which model year of GX is this? Was this the safety feature on yours that reminds you the check rear seat for occupants or pets when you turned off ignition? I am not aware of this feature was offered on GX, unless it was added to 2022/23 GX.

It’s a 2023 Lexus GX460, the notification is coming from the Lexus app which controls locking, starting and sends other notifications like if doors are not locked, windows are open etc.
If you leave something on the seat, this notice is generated via the Lexus app. If I recall correctly, there is a way to disable this notification on the app itself.
My 2022 Toyota RAV4 Prime did the same thing. Turns out it was the seatbelt being buckled that I believe tripped the alert. That and or the car seat weight?
It's added to all GX's 2020 and newer. It's to remind you if you have pet/child in back seat. I was wondering the same thing after I kept receiving the alerts.
