Default Clicking noise when braking

Hello, I bought my GX about 8 months ago and since then I've made a few modifications. I've swapped out the air bag suspension for traditional struts and OME springs and bought new lower control arms. I didn't notice the clicking noise when I bought the truck however since I put the lift on I can hear a click towards the front end of my truck when I hit the brakes(It's somewhat loud when I have the windows down). I took it to the shop and had them check the lower control arms, bushings and suspension but they couldn't come up with anything. It's not getting any louder so it's hard to pin point. I'm thinking it could be something with my brakes perhaps? Brakes work perfect btw. Or could it be the rack and pinion?

If it only happens when you hit the brakes.......

Thanks Alan! I should have been a bit more descriptive but when I hit my brakes and the front end starts to compress is when I hear the click. My brakes work fine and don't seem to have any issue.

Check the brake caliper pistons.

These trucks are notorious for seized front brake calipers, also check that your caliper mounting bolts are tight (also a common issue). Give your front swaybar a good shake or hit it with a rubber mallet, see if your bushings or endlinks are making noise.

Read somewhere it could be pads wearing down and becoming loose and shifting around in there.

Does it happen all the time? My front brakes click almost every time I push the brake pedal for the first time in a new direction. So, if I reverse out of my driveway and stop, the next time I hit the brakes when I'm moving forward, the brake pads click because they are floating and changing direction moves them a couple mm each way.

Could also be the metal clips that hold the pads in the calipers, their purpose is to keep the pads from shifting/clicking.
